Due to satisfactory response in the applications for the dwelling assessor’s course, the Building and Construction Authority is extending its deadline until the end of December 2022.
The application can be downloaded here. A copy of the application together with the relevant qualification certificates including the confirmation of the payment are to be sent via email epcassessors@bca.org.mt.
The EPRDM course is open for professionals possessing a degree in architecture and/or civil, built environment, building services, mechanical or electrical engineering at MQF level 6 recognized by the University of Malta or equivalent.
However, upon completion of the EPRDM course only professionals in possession of a warrant to practice as architect or civil/structural, mechanical or electrical engineer and who have also successfully undertaken a period of training on the assessment of the energy performance of buildings built in Malta approved by the Building and Construction Authority can qualify to become registered assessors.
Further to the above requisites, all candidates interested in becoming a registered assessor are also required to attend the CPD course offered by the BICC – Award in concepts for the decarbonisation of the building industry. After completion of the course, the prospective assessors will be awarded a skill card that is mandatory to become a registered performance of building assessor.

The registration fee of the EPRDRM course is €500 whilst the CPD Course is free of charge.
Payment for the EPRDM course can be paid via bank transfer using IBAN number found in the application form, providing the name and ID number of the applicant in the description.
